Buying Land in Ukraine: Recommends taking a bill about foreigners' ownership right on agricultural |

According to the official information of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the committee on questions of building, town-planning and municipal housing economy and regional policy of Ukraine supports the acceptance as a basis the draft (registration No 1273) about alterations in the Land Code of Ukraine in regards of ownership rights of foreign citizens, persons without citizenship and foreign legal entities on agricultural land.In particular, it is suggested to make alteration in p. 4 clause 22 of Land Code of Ukraine with the purpose of provisions regulation in part of possibility of acquisition of the right of ownership on agricultural lands by foreign citizens, persons without citizenship and foreign legal entities on the basis of inheritance, as it is foreseen in p. 4 clauses 81 and 82 of the Code. In addition, the profile committee recommends to the Parliament of Ukraine to approve the bill after consideration in the first reading. In opinion of the committee members, this would allow the organs of the State registration of right on land to correctly apply the Land Code of Ukraine in issue of the State acts on the ownership right on agricultural lands for foreign citizens, persons without citizenship and foreign legal entities, received by them as inheritance. |
